Unfortunately, United States history is rife with harm and indignities toward Native American populations. It is a shame and embarrassment that we as a society have done very little to mend.

However, as of late there is increased interest and appreciation of Native American history, culture, and concerns.

Here is hoping this continues to grow and their people garner the respect they deserve.
