Growing up, I dreamed of being a marine biologist.
The beauty of the ocean and the mystery of the life that lies beneath the surface were enchanting.
In true “Road Not Taken by Robert Frost” fashion, I chose another career that is a calling and bolsters my soul. Still, I long to be on the water and snorkel along island shores.
I love all the animals of the sea, but whales are majestic in the same way elephants glide over the land.
Here in the Pacific Northwest, a sharp increase in deaths of grey whales is heart breaking.
