We are reeling from a profound loss here at the refuge.
To us, he was larger than life and the most interesting man in the world.
His adventures spanned the globe in the military and private sector.
His smile was charming, his stories fascinating, and his laugh infectious.
He was beloved by animals, the true test of character.
His absence from our lives is heavy and only outweighed by the blessing of his memory.
